Nellie Schroder Boarding Bursary

Miss Harris Tertiary Nursing Bursary
Open 20 May 2027 to 1 July 2027
This fund aims to offer people the opportunity to extend their education, specifically in nursing related courses of study. Read more to see if you are eligible.
Norma Evans Education Award (Region 5 Rimanui)
Open 16 December 2026 to 10 February 2027
This fund aims to encourage women seeking advancement in the workforce to obtain qualifications to improve their career opportunities, independence and career development.
This grant will be awarded to one applicant each year, and women who wish to complete a tertiary study programme to assist in their entry into, or return to, the workforce are invited to apply. Read more to see if you are eligible.
Primary Industries Education for Women
Opens 2027
This fund is to encourage residents of the Wairarapa to undertake further education or training in land based courses either through University, polytechnics or other NZQA recognised Training organisations. It is expected that bursary recipients will ultimately seek employment in Wairarapa so the benefits of their learning can be passed on to the Wairarapa community and its industries.
Barriers to Achieving

This fund is to assist rural students based in the Wairarapa who are struggling to continue with their education for financial reasons, to help with Course associated costs.
Scotlands Te Kiteroa Charitable Grant
Closed
The fund aims to assist individuals, groups and organisations in country areas and rural towns. Grants are made for projects and activities in the following categories: children, care, elderly, community, conservation, counselling and education.
Assistance is needed in the following categories: The welfare of children and the elderly. Community, Conservation, Education.

Hawke's Bay Primary Industries Tertiary Bursary

This fund aims to encourage residents of Hawke’s Bay to undertake further education or training in land-based courses, either through university or polytechnic institutes.
Bursary recipients will ideally seek employment in the Hawke’s Bay area to ensure that the benefits of their learning can be passed on to the Hawke’s Bay community and its industries. Read more to see if you are eligible.
Life Enrichment Grant

This fund is for Wairarapa Women aged 25 and over who wish to extend their education or training in order to improve their level of skills.
Ruby Stokes Grant
Closed: Reopens 20 May 2027 to 1 July 2027
This fund aims to give people the opportunity to extend their education or training in order to improve their level of skills. Specifically those in smaller towns and rural areas on the West Coast of the South Island.
Audrey Reid Grant
Closed: Reopens 18 September 2026 to 30 October 2026
This fund aims to assist applicants aged 25 years and over, who seek to extend their education or training in areas of study that will be of benefit rural communities.
This includes subjects such as midwifery, agriculture and horticulture. Read more to see if you are eligible.
