Primary Industries Education for Women

This fund is to encourage residents of the Wairarapa to undertake further education or training in land based courses either through University, polytechnics or other NZQA recognised Training organisations. It is preferred that bursary recipients will ultimately seek employment in Wairarapa so the benefits of their learning can be passed on to the Wairarapa community and its industries.

Grants value is up to $1,000 per person, one year duration.

Applicants must:

  • Be a New Zealand citizen

  • A tertiary student enrolled in a full-year course

  • Short- or long-term courses undertaken with a recognised education provider will be considered.

  • Be or have been a resident in the Wairarapa District

  • Character reference from another responsible citizen (non-family member), known to the applicant

  • Proof of enrolment in the proposed course of study

Applications will be acknowledged upon receipt and will be considered by the Wairarapa Provincial Fund Committee of RWNZ. You will be notified of the decision which will be final and no correspondence will be entered into. The committee reserves the right to later check with you on the outcome of the study.

Applicants may be required to attend an interview.
