Advocacy for Rural Communities

Our Advocacy Work

Rural Women New Zealand is a voice for rural women and their communities. We have a long history of providing credible, evidence-based advice to politicians, government agencies and stakeholders on issues affecting rural communities.

Our advocacy work on behalf of our members ensures that the voices and experiences of rural communities are heard and considered in policy development and legislative change.

It is guided by our Strategy and Manifesto, which set out our vision for connected and thriving rural communities and our calls to government for action on the issues that matter most to rural communities.

Our Priority Policy Areas

Our Policy Manifesto identifies priority areas that guide our work. Member-led Policy Action Advisory Groups (PAAGs) bring expertise and insights across these areas, informing our submissions and campaigns.
