Life Enrichment Grant
This fund is for Wairarapa Women aged 25 and over who wish to extend their education or training in order to improve their level of skills.
Grant value is up to $1000 per person.
Applicants must:
Be a New Zealand citizen
Be a woman aged 25 and over
A tertiary student enrolled in a full-year course
Short- or long-term courses undertaken with a recognised education provider will be considered.
Be or have been a resident in the Wairarapa District
Priority will be given to those applicants studying a course that will benefit the rural community.
Application Checklist:
Character reference from a member of Rural Women New Zealand, outlining the need for assistance
Character reference from another responsible citizen (non-family member) known to the applicant
Proof of enrolment in the proposed course of study
Applicant will need to indicate the benefit of the study to the wider community as well as to their personal development
Applications will be acknowledged upon receipt and will be considered by the Wairarapa Provincial Fund Committee of RWNZ. You will be notified of the decision which will be final and no correspondence will be entered into. The committee reserves the right to later check with you on the outcome of the study.
Applications will be treated as confidential and are subject to the provisions of the Privacy Act.
Successful applicants who withdraw from full-time study before the end of the academic year, may be obliged to refund the whole or part of the grant as determined by the Wairarapa Provincial Fund Committee.
