Textbook Grant for Tertiary Students

The focus of this bursary is to:

Assist tertiary students with their resources and material costs.

 To be eligible for this bursary an applicant must:

• Be a NZ citizen (proof will be requested)

• Be a tertiary student enrolled in a full year course, degree or diploma.

The applicant will be asked to provide the following:

• A character reference (non family member) from someone who is known to the applicant.

• Proof of enrolment acceptance in your course of study.

• A copy of the previous years’ study results or the last school report (if within three years), or an academic reference.

This grant opens 16 January 2026 to 1 March 2026.

This is a single payment of $500 and can be applied for up to 5 times per applicant, once per year.

Factors such as financial need, the reasons for the course of study, and the intended use of the qualification are taken into consideration when awarding this bursary.
