The fund aims to:

Assist a Year 12 or 13 student living away from home in a boarding situation with financial assistance.

The following is required:

  • NZ citizen, entering Year 12 or Year 13 in the year the bursary is awarded and living away from home

  • A letter outlining the reasons for needing financial assistance, written by a parent or caregiver

  • A supporting letter from the principal or a current teacher

  • Previous results/last school report/academic reference

  • Character reference from a responsible citizen (non-family member) who is known to the applicant.

The duration of this bursary is one year, with $1,000 available each year.
