We have various grants available throughout the year. Please review eligibility criteria carefully and answer in as much detail as possible.
Adverse Events Relief Fund
Always open
This fund aims to assist rural individuals, families and households after a declared adverse event such as drought, fires, floods or earthquakes. The fund has a particular emphasis on (though is not limited to) supporting women and children.
Community groups may also apply for funding to assist communities in recovery from a declared adverse event or state of emergency.

Community Fund
Always open
This fund aims to assist a person or group, who may be facing a natural disaster and/or going through a particularly difficult circumstance where assistance is needed. This includes:
Families in time of natural disaster – fire, flood etc.
The elderly, the young, or any family or person for their particular need.

Cynthia Collier Memorial Grant
Open 16 March 2026 to 30 April 2026
This Grant is intended to support projects and activities focussed on children, the elderly, community, conservation, counselling or education. Read more to see if your eligible.
Scotlands Te Kiteroa Charitable Grant
Open 16 March 2026 to 30 April 2026
The fund aims to assist individuals, groups and organisations in country areas and rural towns. Grants are made for projects and activities in the following categories: children, care, elderly, community, conservation, counselling and education.
Assistance is needed in the following categories: The welfare of children and the elderly. Community, Conservation, Education.

Life Enrichment Grant

This fund is for Wairarapa Women aged 25 and over who wish to extend their education or training in order to improve their level of skills.
Primary Industries Education for Women
Closes 5pm Friday 24 April 2026
This fund is to encourage residents of the Wairarapa to undertake further education or training in land based courses either through University, polytechnics or other NZQA recognised Training organisations. It is expected that bursary recipients will ultimately seek employment in Wairarapa so the benefits of their learning can be passed on to the Wairarapa community and its industries.
Barriers to Achieving

This fund is to assist rural students who are struggling to continue with their education for financial reasons, to help with Course associated costs.
North Taranaki Provincial Holiday Cottage Investment Fund

This fund aims to assist in the education, health, and welfare of women and families in North Taranaki. Read more to see if you are eligible.
Norma Evans Education Award (Region 5 Rimanui)
This grant reopens 2027
This fund aims to encourage women seeking advancement in the workforce to obtain qualifications to improve their career opportunities, independence and career development.
This grant will be awarded to one applicant each year, and women who wish to complete a tertiary study programme to assist in their entry into, or return to, the workforce are invited to apply. Read more to see if you are eligible.
