The fund aims to:

Encourage residents of Hawke’s Bay Region to undertake further education or training in primary industry studies.

Bursary recipients will ideally seek employment in the Hawke’s Bay area to ensure that the benefits of their learning can be passed on to the Hawke’s Bay community and its industries.

 Eligibility Criteria:

  • NZ citizens, tertiary students studying fulltime.

  • Applicants must be residents of Wairoa, Napier, Hastings or Central Hawkes Bay local authority areas.

  • Study should be in the primary industry field.

  • Applicants will be required to attend an interview, either in person or online.

  • The grant is to be used for textbooks, course fees, online resources and equipment.

Applications are now open to 15 January 2026.

This grant is for up to $2,000.

This bursary is awarded for one year only.
