Diamond Jubilee Agricultural Tertiary Bursary

The focus of this bursary is to:

Give assistance to students undertaking a full-time course of at least one year in an agricultural subject. This includes related studies such as horticulture, veterinary, bee keeping, aqua farming and viticulture.

To be eligible for this bursary an applicant must:

  • Be a NZ citizen (proof will be requested)

  • Be enrolled in a full-year course, degree or diploma.

  • The courses must be in an agriculture-related area of study.

The applicant will be asked to provide the following:

  • A character reference (non family member) from someone who is known to the applicant.

  • Proof of enrolment acceptance in the applicants course of study.

  • A copy of the previous years’ study results or the last school report (if within three years), or an academic reference.

This grant opens 16 January 2026 to 1 March 2026.

This is a single payment of $1,000 and can be applied for up to two times per applicant (once per year)

Factors such as financial need, the reasons for the course of study, and the intended use of the qualification are taken into consideration when awarding this bursary.
