Norma Evans Education Award (Region 5 Rimanui)

The fund aims to:

Encourage women seeking advancement in the workforce to obtain qualifications to improve their career opportunities, independence and career development.

This grant will be awarded to one applicant each year, and women who wish to complete a tertiary study programme to assist in their entry into, or return to, the workforce are invited to apply.

 The following must be included with the application:

• NZ citizen, 25 years +

• Short or long term courses with a recognised education provider

• Applicants must live and/or intend to work in the Coromandel, Thames, or BOP regions.

• A letter outlining the reasons you require this financial assistance, the reasons for your course of study (or proposed course of study) and your intended use of the qualification

• Copies of your previous relevant qualifications, results, or an academic reference.

• A profile outlining past achievements, proposed study programme, educational goals and long term objectives.

• Two written references including contact details for referees

• Proof of enrolment at the University or Polytechnic where the studies will be undertaken.

• Applicants may be required to attend an interview

Applications open 16 December 2025 to 10 February 2026

This is a $2000 per year (2 year grant).
